PRINTING SERVICES

Printing services at ODU run the gamut from printer and copier maintenance for individual departments to online printing services from the Wireless LAN for students, faculty and staff across the main campus and at home.

Copy Central
Copy Central provides support for department devices serving the print and copy needs of University departments and offices. Support services include the provision of paper and other printing supplies, troubleshooting of devices, and on-site training.  These services include the walk up ‘paper on glass’ copying and network printing to these shared devices.  The devices include Multifunction Devices (MFD) that reside in departments around campus and also high volume systems that reside in OCCS.

Printing to Departmental Printers and Multi-Function Devices on Campus
With the implementation of the Campus VPN, access to University Network Printing resources is now available from the wireless LAN on campus and from off campus for Faculty and Staff. This access includes the High Volume Printer, MFD’s and any Network based printer currently configured in Active Directory. The only requirement to access this service is to have a valid Active Directory account and have administrative rights on the machine you wish to add the printing services too.

Remote Printing
Through Pharos, students can print from their laptops to remote printers located around campus. View printer locations.
